Question:

What are the differences between bus accidents and car accident claims?

Answer:

In addition to representing people who have been injured in car accidents, over the course of my career I’ve represented people who have been injured in bus accidents also. Bus Accident Injury Claims Those cases can differ in a number of ways. One of the most important things you can do if you’re in a bus accident is to somehow confirm that you were, in fact, on that bus. If you’re injured, you need to seek medical treatment, but you also need to document the time, the place and as much information as you can about the bus. If you don’t do that, one of the first challenges to your claim will be whether you were, in fact, one of the people on that bus.
I’ve also represented people who, in their private vehicles, were struck by a bus. Some of the same issues apply there. You’ll need to get as much information as you can from the bus driver including the place, the time, and the location of the accident. Of course, if it’s the type of accident where police respond to the scene, you want to make sure you identify yourself to the police, so that you can have them document your injuries.
